BMW has released the third generation of the X5 since its first launched in 1999. After 13 years it is ready to keep up to compete with other cars of the same category. 2014 BMW X5 Interior is focused on comfort by providing more coziness, more space for legs and adjustable seat that support backrest. There is also optional rear comfort seat for taking passenger in long journey plan. BMW provide high quality material and slight improvement for comfort such as standard poplar wood trim and high gloss black surface. US market is provided with touchpad, 10.2 control display monitor, exclusive Nappa leather and Dakota leather seat covers. The rear seats are set to provide maximum seating and optimal storage space. It can hold up cargo from 23 cubic feet to 66 cubic feet depending on seat folding. Some other features are adjustable and heated front seat, panoramic moonroof, climate control, parking distance control, USB, Bluetooth audio, smartphone integration, iDrive system and many more.

Performance

There are three engine options to choose from this third generation of BMW X5. 2014 BMW X5 review result that the X5 xDrive35i and X5 sDrive35i models come with a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine delivering 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. It is equipped with turbocharger, Valvetronic variable intake technology and High Precision direct fuel injection. The xDrive35i can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. The X5 xDrive35d is a diesel version powered by a 3.0-liter engine delivering a total of 255 horsepower and maximum torque of 413 pound-feed between 1,500 and 3,000 rpm. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. The X5 xDrive 50i is the top version and powered by a 4.4-liter V-8 engine (N63) delivering a total of 445 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Those engines are connected with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an ECO PRO new function to accelerate response and transmission.
